The Client
AppliedMicro is a Silicon Valley-based semiconductor chip maker specializing in energy-conscious technology for consumer and enterprise applications. With corporate offices in three continents, APM has distributors positioned globally for sales and support. APM has provided products for companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Toshiba, and many more.
The Project
AppliedMicro was seeking a refresh for a few pages in their site, and after further investigation Blue Coast Web recommended a complete restructuring and redesign of both the front and backend of the site. Different users had different reasons for using the website, and many were having trouble finding where they wanted to go. BCW created a more logical IA after research with the target audiences, and combined that with the business goals of AppliedMicro. They have since seen a 50% reduction in bounce rates after the redesign.
